Abstract

ESTE texto analisa o papel político da Igreja Católica Apostólica Romana no Brasil, por meio da CNBB, em seu relacionamento com o Estado e com a sociedade civil. Suas bases teóricas inspiram-se na corrente renovadora da Igreja, legitimada pelo Concílio Vaticano II (1962-1965).THIS TEXT examines the political activity of the brazilian Roman Catholic Church, in front of the social, economic and political reality, represented by the staff of the Brazilian National Bishop's Conference (CNBB). These positions reflects the historical process of changing in the Church.
