Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic and Distance Learning on the Development of a New Paradigm for Research into written Production in French
Abstract
Abstract: Written verbal production is one of the fundamental pedagogical practices in language classes, and writing skills are a condition for academic success. However, we note that this educational activity has always posed many difficulties for students and many problems for teachers, in so far as it is an activity of great complexity and which has been the subject of numerous works with the aim of designing didactic aids adapted to the needs of the pupils. The contributions of cognitive psychology in the field of the study of editorial processes have allowed great advances at the didactic and pedagogical level. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant disruption to education systems around the world, affecting 1.6 billion students in more than 190 countries. The need to continue teaching/learning and to meet the needs of learners required the implementation of distance learning and led to the use of digital tools to maintain links and exchanges between teachers and learners and continue learning activities. This situation suddenly upset the exchanges and their modalities, as well as the editorial activities. This break in the organization of time, space and teaching/ learning modalities still difficult to understand and evaluate is undoubtedly the basis of a new research paradigm.
