Structural Failure Detection in Non-Cylindrical and Etched Glass Containers Using Mathematical Morphology and Wavelet

Abstract

A detailed report of the tests conducted in the detection of structural defects in non-cylindrical glass containers and with engraving on the body is detailed. Mathematical morphology (erosion and dilation) was applied to eliminate the container engraving, and the Daubechies wavelet allowed to locate the defect in the defective containers. The results by using signal processing (mathematical morphology and wavelets) are shown.
