In the cutting industry, surface finishing and product strength are essential in determining the quality. In this scientific research paper it is desired to analyze the way in which the influence of some cutting parameters that take different values, on the obtained quality of the processed surface is felt. An aluminum alloy often used in the aerospace industry was chosen for the research. This material will be subjected to end milling machining. As a research method, the factorial experiment was approached in order to plan the physical experiments. The obtained data were subjected to the statistical analysis. The conclusions drawn are based on the results obtained by the interpretation of histograms, scatter diagrams, response surfaces and contour plots curves. The obtained data can be used to improve the cutting process and also the quality physically produced products through cutting operations in the aeronautical industry.
