Abstract

[english] After a brief illustration of the history of the institute, library and archive whose characteristic is in the history of the divided city of Berlin follows the description of the inventory and of the fields of research as well as the tasks the library is performing. Finally the article mentions the cooperation with other institutes.[german] Nach einer kurzen Erläuterung der Geschichte des Standortes von Institut, Bibliothek und Archiv, dessen Besonderheit in der geschichtlichen Entwicklung der geteilten Stadt Berlin liegt, folgt eine Beschreibung des Bestandes, der Forschungsgebiete sowie der Aufgaben, die die Bibliothek wahrnimmt. Zuletzt geht der Artikel noch auf die Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Institutionen ein.
