In this edition of the clinical and epidemiological round, we bring four relevant articles for clinical practice. The TRUST study group make one of the biggest randomized clinical trials ever reported to determine the clinical benefit of treating subclinical hypothyroidism in patients older than 65 years. On the other hand, Shah S et al gather in a systematic review which are the findings in the anamnesis and physical examination that allow to identify with more accuracy pneumonia in children younger than 5 years. Additionally, the WOMAN group determined through a randomized clinical trial the impact of tranexamic acid within the red code protocol on mortality or need of hysterectomy at the end of the puerperium. Finally, Moran et al. assess through a randomized clinical trial the effect of the combined therapy of cephalexin plus trimetoprimsulfamethoxazol versus cephalexin alone in the clinical resolution of non-complicated cellulitis.
