The COVID-19 pandemic has changed all aspects of life, from social behavior, economy, health and education. Libraries, which are institutions that support higher education, have also experienced the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Limitations in face-to-face and on-site service become a challenge on how to remain able to carry out the work of an employee. This became the rationale for the Biology Faculty Library to innovate entitled Online Media Optimization to Support Library Performance in the New Normal Era of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this service innovation activity is so that the Faculty of Biology Gadjah Mada University Library can continue to provide optimal services to users in the midst of a pandemic that is strict on health protocols and physical contact. This innovation is in the form of optimizing services through communicative online networking media such as WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube to provide a real picture and guide, especially for new members/new undergraduate and postgraduate students. The research method used is qualitative research case study approach. The study was conducted from September 2020 to April 2021. The results of this study show that the optimization of the utilization of online media has an impact, among others, libraries can improve communication skills digitally, direct users get more experience in improving e-literacy soft skills and how to access digital information sources, library institutions are able to improve the quality and Quantity e-Services by maximizing library resources and spurring creativity and innovation opportunities on an ongoing basis. With this innovation, the library will become an inspiring destination, especially for the Library of the Faculty of Biology, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The conclusion of this research is that the Library of Biology Faculty Gadjah Mada University can still provide optimal services to users in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic through innovations related to optimizing online media.
