Metal corrosion significantly impacts the lifespan of metal equipment, and the application of anti-corrosive coatings is an effective method to protect equipment and extend its service life. Epoxy resin coatings, known for their excellent corrosion resistance and strong adhesion, are among the most widely used in the anti-corrosion coatings of metal equipment. In this paper, the anti-corrosion mechanism of epoxy resin coatings was briefly analyzed. The research progress of epoxy resin anticorrosion coatings at home and abroad in recent years was summarized, focusing on nano-filler modified epoxy resin coatings and waterborne epoxy resin emulsion coatings. At the same time, the problems that still needed to be solved at the present stage of epoxy resin anticorrosion coatings were summarized, and the future research direction of the modification of epoxy resin anticorrosion coatings was envisioned.
