Poblaciones de Cyathea atrovirens fueron halladas recientemente en dos localidades ubicadas sobre la costa del río Paraná, en la provincia de Corrientes, después de la formación del embalse de la Represa Yacyretá.Populations of Cyathea atrovirens were recently found in two locations sited on the coast of Paraná River, in the Province of Corrientes (Argentina), after the formation of the Yacyretá Reservoir.
