CENTENARY OF GLEB CIAICOVSCHI-MEREŞANU: MEMORIES

Abstract

The book „Memoirs” contains some of the material found in the manuscript of master Gleb Ciaicovschi-Mereşanu. Even if it is a text with autobiographical content, the work is valuable due to its documentary nature, encompassing historical and cultural events from the 20s to the 80s of the twentieth century. The text also mentions key personalities within the national cultural scene of that time. The „Memoirs” were edited on the occasion of the centenary since the birth of Gleb Ciaicovschi-Mereşanu, who was a musicologist, teacher, folklorist, director, researcher and animator of the cultural life etc
