Skovorodiana in fonds of Institute of Manuscript of V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. To 300th anniversary of birth of outstanding Ukrainian philosopher
Abstract
The goal of the research is to involve in the wide scientific and cultural circulation of documents related to the figure of the world-famous philosopher, educator and humanist, poet, teacher, phenomenon of Ukrainian science and culture Hryhorii Skovoroda, which are stored in the fonds of the Institute of Manuscript of the V.І. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. Methology. The research is based on the principles of historicism, scientificity, objectivity, as well as on general historical methods - chronological, retrospective, thematic, which were used in this study to characterize the source array, its comprehensive study by the method of bibliographic and source-scientific analysis and synthesis, classification and systematization of documents on the basis of specific species-thematic features. Scientific novelty. For the first time, not only the archival legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda, but also the works of Ukrainian scientists about him, which present new information about the life and worldview of the outstanding Ukrainian philosopher, have been comprehensively identified and characterized in the fonds of the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. Conclusions. Among the more than half a million national written heritage represented in the fonds of the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, there is a significant complex of handwritten and printed sources, directly or indirectly related to the figureof Hryhorii Skovoroda. In addition to autographs and lists of works of various genres of the Ukrainian Genius, the personal archive fonds, as well as the archive fonds of various institutions and organizations, contain documents dedicated to researching the scientific and creative legacy of the figure, the thorough and professional study of which will significantly deepen Ukrainian Skovorodiana.
