The international scrutiny has intensified over Brazil, mainly for their economic, social development growth beyond the choice of the country as the site of two major world events - the World Cup and the Olympics. The objective of this work is to find the images and representations of Brazil that were propagated in news productions of Portuguese print media. One wonders what are the issues most commonly used by public and Daily News with regard to the representation of Brazil, in the period September-November 2012 and later in September 2013. The research carried out here it is a historical--descriptive, hypothetical-deductive method, procedure and case study approach to mixed methods: qualitative and quantitative.
