Forming of pronunciation skills in the teaching of English
Abstract
This article dwells on developing pronunciation skills in students majoring in areas other than Linguistics, in view of language systems interaction under the circumstances of bilingualism, which is manifested through speech norm deviation in the foreign language influenced by the mother tongue. The article offers definitions for concepts like phonetics teaching methods, interference and prosodic interference; it also provides an analysis of reasons behind the differences between the initial and the interfered languages through teaching.
