The conclusion of this question opened in 2009 with Women, peace and reconciliation and temporarily closed in 2019 with Women, reconciliation and end of conflicts, requires the recontextualize as a whole. This reflection led by the authors for the medieval and modern North Mediterranean arc releases forms of the female peacemaking discourse, makes it possible to better understand what women expected from their promotion and construction of peace, but it also invites, beyond the mediation of women in political action, family alliances, peace treaties, their matrimonial policies to put an end to conflicts, to deepen and thus to revise the contribution of women to the restoration of social order: from their role of friendly referees and conciliators in the resolution of civil cases and as intercessors to avoid interpersonal violence.
