La caricatura política en la II República : El Debate, El Siglo Futuro y Gracia y Justicia

Abstract

During the II Republic there was a great development of the political cartoon, above all, in the conservative press. The republican politicians were the main aim of the graphical humor, with a purpose: the mockery of the ideological adversary. The visual speech of the analyzed publications was coherent with the written, which purpose was to discredit the Republic and its representatives. The image, for its easy comprehension, could have a greater impact on the reader, so the result of this graphical speech could be also more effective.
