Lugar de memoria de las víctimas, arte y poesía en torno a la masacre de Palomitas (Salta, Argentina)

Abstract

The purpose of the following article resides in the analysis of both memory and the artistic depictions concerning the Palomitas Massacre: the slaughter of political prisoners in Salta, Argentina, during the last military dictatorship (1976-1983). Three different stages of memory will be defined in close relationship with the significance awarded to the artistic expressionism and the places of remembrance in honor of the martyrs. Through these stages, the trails of memory will be addressed through specific geographical circumstances, different cultural perspectives from the other provinces of the country and little state intervention.
