Deux projets régionaux de la FAO pour le développement de l'élevage dans les zones infestées par les glossines

Abstract

Two FAO regional projects for livestock development in the tse-tse infested areas. In this paper, the authors present the objectives, activities, countries involved and inputs of two FAO Regional projects related to livestock development in tsetse infested areas. These projects are entitled : "Improvement, multiplication and conservation of trypanotolerant livestock in West Africa" (project GCP/RAF/190/ITA). "Subregional support unit to development under FAO programme for the control of african animal trypanosomiasis and related development" (project GCP/RAF/191/ITA). In conclusion, an example of activity undertaken by the Trypanotolerant Livestock Project is given.
