This study aims to highlight the need to adjust the language of psychodiagnostics with the client’s first language. It covers empirical findings verifying the hypothesis that bilingual respondents achieve worse results than monolingual respondents in verbal subtests measuring their cognitive abilities and IQ in cases when the tests are presented in their second language. On the other hand, when attending psychological diagnostics in their first language bilingual respondents achieve the same or better results than monolingual ones.
