Factores genéticos en la Enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica
Abstract
Understanding of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has been enhaced by the contribution of genetics in the last two decades. COPD is a condidion charactherized by slowly progressive limitation to air flow during a period of years. It constitues the first cause of morbidity in U.S. and it is also the fourth cause of death in this country. This paper is a theoretical review of the current concepts on COPD as well as the new genetic topics on the disease.
