Following text presents the results of research in which defining green structure concept and reviling his levels of affirmation in planning process of Banja Luka was one of main goals. Discourse analyses delivers insight in green structure position as social value and public good inside planning process and resulting documents. Documents survey led to conclusion that green structure as concept of integration of urban green spaces, was indeed part of urban planning process of Banja Luka. Green structure as term was never used but elements of concept can be recognized inside text and graphics of planning documents. Still, green structure concept as part of planning strategy of Banja Luka stays unfinished. According to questionnaire used to collect information from urban planning and urban design experts in Banja Luka, urban planers do not have in view mechanism of many interests and very complex relationships of different actors in planning process. System of relationships and great number of interests stays only partly and superficially analyzed and green structure as social value in his material and nonmaterial shape loses position in complex social and political context.
