Hormonal and Metabolic Changes in Critically Ill Patients

Abstract

The review presents the current view of the etiology and pathogenesis of hormonal and metabolic changes in critically ill patients. To build up a system accessible to clinicians to establish an early diagnosis of hypermetabolism syndrome will be able to make differential correction of endocrine and metabolic disorders until decompensated multiple organ failure develops.
