Energy in Lybia : Competition between Majors Power – Economic Implications and Geopolitical Consequences
Abstract
Abstract: International competition over vitals areas still exists on the agendas of the Major powers, which exploit the resources of countries that want them to continue to be underdeveloped, in addition to political, security, economic and social instability. Lybia is considered one of those countries that suffer from competition over its vital resources, which is considered an episode og geopolitical transformations planned by opportunistic countries competing for hegemony. In Libya, a set of determinants came together through which the goals set to achieve this endeavor intersected. In addition to competing for energy, the conflicting forces seek to impose dependency on each other, in addition to the regional dimension represented by the West’s desire to weaken the Arab countries and dismantle everything related to the possibility of building a regional power that could threaten – in their opinion – their interests and positions in the international pyramid. Keywords : Libya, vital resources, competition and conflict, major powers, regional security.
