DYNAMICS OF THE INCIDENCE OF ACUTE ABDOMINAL SURGICAL PATHOLOGY IN KUZBASS FROM 1993 TO 2021

Abstract

Purpose of the study – to give modern ideas about the incidence of urgent abdominal surgical pathology. Materials and methods. Analysis of the annual reports of the chief surgeons of Kuzbass from 1993 to 2021. Results. There was a decrease in the number of patients treated with acute appendicitis and perforated ulcers, respectively, by 45.2 % and 42%%. The increase in the number of patients treated per 100,000 population with acute pancreatitis was 76.5 %, strangulated abdominal hernia – 41.1 %, acute intestinal obstruction – 9.6 % and acute cholecystitis – 10.1 %. Conclusion. Dynamics, characteristic of developed countries, by reducing the number of patients operated on with acute appendicitis, perforated gastroduodenal ulcers and increasing the number of patients treated with acute cholecystitis and acute pancreatitis, is also noted in Kuzbass. In the studied periods, there is no tendency to reduce the number of hospitalized patients with acute intestinal obstruction and strangulated abdominal hernias.
