Nowadays stress is not a foreign thing that happened in the life of a believer or non-believer. Each individual will not be spared from suffering stress, and every individual is different deal with stressful situations because it is closely related to their lifestyle. Many people consider stress they experienced as motivation against him, and some others think stress is a problem that must be bear it. Therefore stress need to be overcome effectively in order not to affect the soul prosperity and harmony life. On the religious perspective stress is a test from Allah to His servants. Therefore, religion plays an important role in resolve the various issues and problems of human life, especially with regard to the problem of stress. This is because religion is closely related to mental and emotional health. Thus there are various approaches to religion can be used to treat stress, which is an approach to faith, worship and morality. As a result of this study is to identify stress management approach that is religious worship Istighathah. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method based on past studies and analysis of primary sources such as books, journals, theses, al-Quran and Hadith used for information analysis. In addition, the study found that the approach can be used to treat stress with Istighathah approach is to perform dhikr, pray, pray, read the Quran and seek forgiveness, it can give peace of mind and reassurance. It is expected that the appropriate approach used by the Muslim community in treating stress.
