Relations between Russia and Central European countries within 30 years have passed several stages of development: from their almost complete break in the mid-1990’s, via significant improvement in the 2000’s, till the lowest point of the last three decades, after the crisis in Ukraine. If in 1990’s the state of relations had been largely determined by the countries themselves, now, in the absence of subjective reasons for their decline, they are forced to obey the new commitments dictated from Brussels. These requirements of the allies sometimes do not meet with the national interests of the countries. However, so far, no country of the region stepped forward against sanctions, that substantially complicate the relationship between Russia and the Visegrad countries and negatively affect their economic development
