Abstract
Within the framework of a history of European legal thought, this article proposes to shed light on what “Law of Nature” and “Natural Law” have in common. Both participate in the intellectual construction of modernity and determine a legal knowledge closely linked to the representations of the world shared by jurists and their contemporaries.
