The formation of national armed forces of Latvia in the new geopolitical conditions

Abstract

The process of creating the armed forces of Latvia’s Republic has been analyzed from military-historical point of view, as well as state enforcement of military security after the dissolution of the USSR. Additional consideration was given to the security sector of Latvia at current stage of development.
