In the modern world, tourism should be regarded as one of the largest, most profitable and most active sectors of the economy. At the same time, it serves as an active source offoreign exchange earnings and strongly influences the international balance of payments. Tourism can help you immerse yourself in the culture and history of another country and learn with interest about its cultural heritage. In contrast to the economic impact on many countries, tourism affects its social, cultural and ecological environment. In this regard, it is logical to take into account the growing interest in this sector of the economy every year and the constant participation of almost all regions of the Russian Federation. The purpose of this study is to study the role ofpublic administration in the tourism industry and the specific content of the state supervision of the Russian Federation in the field of tourism. The research results can attract the attention of government bodies at all levels, the scientiic community and the expert community, and can also be widely used in research and practice.
