The experience presented summarizes in summary the work related to education for health from the educational orientation, with the precision of basic aspects that allow to view the development of this from the professional performance of the university teacher, meaning the potentialities of their abilities techniques through the fulfillment of one of its basic functions, the guidance, through which the aspects are accentuated to signify such action from the limits and spaces related to the fulfillment of their professional role, thus approaching in a greater measure the your cultural identity and professional profile. The experience takes as a theoretical basis the foundations of the educational orientation and the integrative tendency determined for that purpose, as well as references on health education in the university environment and its deployment of actions from the teacher's performance as a functional counselor.
