This study investigates the alignment between program learning outcomes of Press and Media programs at Jordanian universities and the requirements of the local labor market. Specifically, it examines whether the courses and training offered effectively enhance students’ skills and equip them with the necessary knowledge and experience to excel in their careers, particularly for graduates seeking employment. To explore this, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 officials from the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Al Rai Newspaper, and Al Ghad Newspaper. These interviewees were selected based on their expertise and relevance to the media and journalism sector. The findings reveal that the current level of media graduates is inadequate, with a significant gap between university education and labor market demands. To address this, the study suggests that universities should provide more incentives, expand training programs, and revamp their curricula to better equip students with the skills needed for successful integration into the workforce. The study concludes with recommendations aimed at enhancing the overall performance of the media sector in Jordan.
