The paper examined thermoelectric processes in aqueous solutions of singly charged ionic compounds under conditions of nonstationary heat transfer and molecular mass transfer. The mathematical model of the phenomenon is based on the thermodynamics of irreversible processes. Comparison of calculation results with experiment for an aqueous solution of potassium chloride demonstrates quantitative and qualitative agreement. The heats of ion transport determined for infinite dilution coincide with those known from the literature to within 6%.
