Oligomerization state of the functional bacterial twin-arginine translocation (Tat) receptor complex

Abstract

A molecular counting approach using single molecule photobleaching reveals that the Tat receptor complex is a tetramer in its native membrane environment with an equal stoichiometry of TatB and TatC.
