The tilapia culture in our country has presented in recent years a significant rise and diversification, this due to the food shortage in our country and in the rest of the world, there are some alternatives to increase the profitability of their crop and is also an activity important in the state of Sinaloa, mainly in the communities adjacent to the dams and reservoirs of water. Inthe present study we present the results obtained in the process of sex reversal of red tilapia fingerlings Oreochromis sp., held at the premises of CIIDIR-IPN, Guasave, Sinaloa. The experiment used a total population of 4000 organisms, which were distributed in three hormonal treatment ponds by integrating them into the food (ATB) and three controls (C), were concrete ponds with a capacity of 500 L. water was applied to the food hormone to be administered orally. The percent change of sex was determined by the technique "Squash". In the treatment hormonado food supply. The physicochemical parameters were not significantly different because they are within the limits allowed in growing tilapia. Survival in the treatment of hormonedelivery was the result was 89.6 ± 2.5% and 78.0 ± 3.2% control. In her final weight (g) application in the treatment of hormone was 0.52 ± 0.02 g and the control was 0.50 ± 0.04 g. The percentage reversal of the sexual hormone treatment (TBA)was 89.7 ± 3.0% in the control (C) was 57.0 ± 2.3%. This allowed to know which is more effective use of the hormone in the food.
