Elevação da vogal /e/ nos clíticos pronominais

Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar resultados de análise quantitativa por meio da qual se buscou identificar fatores linguísticos e extralinguísticos que favoreçam a elevação da vogal /e/ nos clíticos pronominais me, te, se e lhe. Para tanto, foram analisadas 36 entrevistas retiradas do Banco de Dados VarX, que contém amostras de fala de habitantes da cidade de Pelotas (RS). Submetidos os dados à análise estatística, o programa selecionou as variáveis tipo de juntura, vogal da sílaba seguinte e tipo de clítico como fatores que influenciam o tipo de vogal – alta ou média – que irá se manifestar.Palavras-chave: Clíticos pronominais; vogal média; variação linguística; neutralização vocálica.Abstract: The objective of this paper is to present the results of a quantitative analysis which tried to identify both the linguistic and extralinguistic factors causing the raising of the vowel /e/ in the pronominal clitics me, te, se and lhe. 36 interviews taken from VarX Database, containing speech samples of Pelotas (RS) citizens, were analyzed. After submitting the data to statistics analysis, the variables selected as factors determining the type of vowel that will be produced – high or mid – were type of juncture, vowel of the following syllable and type of clitic.Keywords: Pronominal clitics; mid vowel; linguistic variation; vowel neutralization.
