Abstract The purpose of this study was to identify the combined effects of illuminance, correlated color temperature, and chromaticity shift from the Planckian locus duv on the perception of the tinted color of illumination and spatial brightness. All 60 conditions with 3 levels of floor illuminance, 4 conditions of correlated color temperature, and 5 levels of duv were tested. Consequently, it was identified that the effects of the duv shift on the tinted color of illumination differed depending on the correlated color temperature. The spatial brightness was significantly lower in the case of positive duv.
