NEW SCENARIOS OF TRAINING IN PSYCHOLOGY IN BRAZIL
Abstract
The training in psychology in Brazil undergoes transformations with the expansion of the higher educational sector. On the one hand there is a growing number of courses in psychology at work in the interior regions of the country. On the other, there is a growing incorporation of educational institutions by foreign groups. Thus, the objective of this study reflect on the scenarios of internalization and internationalization of psychology courses, focusing on the challenges to the formation of the Brazilian psychologist. This is a descriptive exploratory study, in which the information for data analysis were recovered in official databases on higher education in Brazil. We believe that this context is new scenarios and challenges for the training of psychologists as reposition the profession in our country but centered in urban centers, and require that curricula, including courses internationalized meet specific local (spatial, social and symbolic) that permeates Brazilian reality.
