Segreti e bugie: viaggio nella scrittura di Julya Rabinowich

Abstract

This article surveys Julya Rabinowich’s career from her literary debut to the present day. Novelist, playwright, painter, poet, translator, columnist – in a variety of genders and developments, she created a narrative style which constantly addresses the recent Russian historical context (where her origins lie) and the new Austrian political situation which has been her concern since she migrated to Vienna with her family as a child. Betrayal seems to be a leitmotiv that characterizes Rabinowich’s narrative world, even in her most recent unpublished work, of which we present an extract with an Italian translation
