EVERYDAY LIFE AS A SOCIAL PHENOMENON

Abstract

The article is prepared with financial support of Russian Foundation for Humanities and the Government of Murmansk region within the project of carrying out scientific researchers on a subject «Everyday practices of young disabled people in the Kola North», the project № 14-13-51002. The article presents essential characteristics of everyday life as a social phenomenon. The author shows interpretations of everyday life within the frame of phenomeno-logy and lists the main problems faced by the scientists in studies of this phenomenon. In the author’s opinion, everyday life represents a semantic continuum which is interpreted through typification and objects structuring. Resorting to everyday life allows to see the subject, fitting into an objective social reality and realizing its regularities and principles at the individual level. In this regard, the main methodological problem of sociological science becomes disclosure of general principles of everyday life organization.
