PERBANDINGAN PROSEDUR POLYA DAN NEWMAN PADA PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS (COMPARISON OF POLYA AND NEWMAN PROCEDURES ON PROBLEM SOLVING OF MATHEMATICS)

Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan perbedaan pada prosedur Polya dan Prosedur Newman dalam memecahkan masalah matematis. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dan tabel pembanding. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, setidaknya terdapat empat perbedaan yang dapat dibandingkan dari kedua prosedur tersebut, yaitu: 1) banyaknya jumlah prosedur, 2) urutan/hirarki prosedur, 3) perbedaan istilah, dan 4) perbedaan tahap akhir.Kata kunci: pemecahan masalah matematis, prosedur newman, prosedur polya.ABSTRACTThis article aims to compare the differences in the Polya procedure and the Newman Procedure in solving mathematical problems. The methodology used is literature review and comparison table. Based on the results of the study, there are at least four differences that can be compared from the two procedures, namely: 1) number of procedures, 2) sequence/hierarchy of procedures, 3) differences in terms, and 4) difference in the final stage.Keywords: newman procedures, polya procedures, problem solving of mathematics.
