Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the major pulmonary pathogen that causes morbidity and mortality in burned, immunocompromised and cystic fibrosis patients.Among the various virulence factors, type IV-pili, flagella, biofilm formation and alginate production play a major role in patogenicity of bacteria. The aim of our work is the study of these virulence factors in 14 P. aeruginosa strains with different phenotype choosen in the same sputum or in sputa collected in subsequent time of Cystic Fibrosis patients.
