Technische Ausbildungsstätten, Entwickler und ihr Beitrag zum Innovationssystem

Abstract

Within the process of innovation, technology and knowledge transfers between universities and other research institutes and private industry have a vital role to play. It is especially important that the various players involved should interact within a systematic context. All too f requently the weak link in this chain is the flow and exchange of information. What is the role within this process for developers and engineers? What part should training centres and research institutes play? The present article draws on a study of two industrial sectors to shed light on the networks and information exchange in place in Austria among these key players.
