Patrimonial education is concerned with patrimony and with the training of individuals and societies in terms of its protection, conservation and sustainable use. It is important in primary education the creation of spaces that promote it and achieve its relevance where schoolchildren play a leading and active role from their experiences in direct contact with their environment. The work carried out in order to achieve these objectives with those patrimonial assets that a city treasures, will largely depend on its sustainability over time to be used by present and future generations as a legacy of those who have preceded them. The article presents the results of a research whose objective was to do a methodology for the work with the patrimonial education of the students of this teaching through workshops of Plastic Arts that develop the art instructors. It is based on updated criteria on the subject. The results respond to a qualitative methodological approach where collaborative action research is used. It uses methods and techniques that allow information to be obtained from the interaction of the researcher in the field itself. Theoretically, it provides the methodology, with an interdisciplinary approach and contextualized in the environment of the educational institution. As a practical contribution, it offers a system of actions that are developed in stages and where important local patrimonial assets are used. The transformations that take place in the care, conservation, and sustainability of the patrimony show the scientific value of the methodology as a proposal for the solution of the declared problem.
