Developing basic communicative skills at school
Abstract
The paper describes an innovative educative proposition resulting from the research project “Educating in the mother language. This project was aim at developing basic communicative language development in students who are intended to be trained as teachers. The project, now extensively introduced in practice, offers the methodological guidelines which harmonizes the related theoretical framework with the teaching and training practice. A bibliographic research was conducted to update communicative skills development, modeling to devise the procedures, and a controlled experiment was carried out to evaluate its impact in the teaching practice. The finding has enriched the educating process of Bachelors in Pedagogy at “Enrique J. Varona” Institute in Camagüey City Key words: exploring learning difficulties, educative project, and communicative skills.
