Neurological complications in primary hypothyroidism and possibility of their correction

Abstract

<p><em>Aim of the study. </em>The authors assessed the state of the nervous system in patients with primary hypothyroidism before and after the treatment. <em>Materials and methods</em>. In 115 patients studied in detail the neurological and neuro-psychological status, to assess the status of the peripheral nervous system was performed electroneuromyography. <em>Results. </em>These results indicate that obligate the defeat of the nervous system in primary hypothyroidism, for the correction of which can be successfully used by neurotrophic agents. <em>Conclusion. </em>The study assessed the condition of the nervous system in patients with primary hypothyroidism before and after the treatment. The goal set at the beginning of the study, has been achieved.</p>
