The paper examines the role of the Serbian Orthodox Church in protecting national interests in Kosovo and Metohija in the period from 1945 to 1999 in the reports of Bishops Pavle and Atanasi and Metropolitan Anfilohije Radović. This recent period of Serbian history in Kosovo and Metohija was turbulent and little researched, and it is very important for the survival of the Serbian people and the Serbian Orthodox Church in these areas. It has been especially little researched from the point of view of theological sciences and the point of view of the highest representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church. This work, based on the reports of the then Bishop of Raško-Prizren, Pavle, Metropolitan of Montenegrin Littoral, Anfilohi Radović, and Bishop Atanasije Jeftić, fills that void. From a scientific and ecclesiastical point of view, the paper tries to prove that the persecution of the Serbian people from Kosovo and Metohija has continued continuously since 1945 and that it has been carried out carefully and deliberately until today. Parallel to the exodus of the Serbian people, there was also terror against the Serbian Orthodox Church, which fundamentally never left the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija and is with them today, and will be in the future as long as there is a Serbian people in this area of Serbian land.
