The dissemination of design methods borrowed from the world of design, in the image of design thinking, restores a renewed form of mobilization of executives. The mobilisation sought results in the apprehension of innovation in the form of a managerial injunction and a definition of creativity management systems. It is as much about activating innovation dynamics as it is about framing it in a specific space-time. In this perspective, the article analyses the temporal dynamics produced by the introduction of a project accelerator, illustrated by an intensification (compression and flexibilisation) and a fragmentation of the working time of the managers involved. The aim is to show how this type of creativity management device, far from being a response to “artist criticism”, extends the project of rationalisation of design activities initiated by project management. Beyond the rationalisation of design work, the article seeks to understand the modes of reinvestment of the system studied from the point of view of the symbolic benefits derived by the participants.
