This text discusses different epistemological approaches that Geography assumes in these two civilizatory moments. It starts from the paradigms imposed by positivist philosophy and the theoretic analyse's forms Geography was required (to be universal and general its contents), to the new approaches about the relation subject-object that accept the unique and the exceptional. The approximation between subject and object permits pluralities of approaches and even of interpretation which is nominated post modern science. Along this exposition it's pursuit to see geographic studies under a hermeneutic vision, accepting new interpretations between local and totality
