Isolamento de DNA genômico a partir de folhas secas de Erythrina crista-galli L., FABACEAE (Corticeira-do-banhado)

Abstract

Erythrina crista-galli L. (Fabaceae ) is a three native to Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, eastern Bolivia and Argentina, can be used in afforestation and resto-ration of natural environments. We have not found in literature methodologies for the isolation of genomic DNA of the species. The objective was to test three DNA isolation protocols applied to dried leaves at room temperature and check-ing the quantity and quality of DNA isolated. Dried leaves showed constitute good source of genetic material, however, new tests are needed to improve the protocols to solve contamination by polysaccharides and polyphenols in samples.
