In this paper we address classroom research that involved the design and implementation of the teaching unit How much do you know about plants Kiosk? teaching-learning concept in plant diversity ninth graders of School Failure Campoalegre Eugenio Ferro, Huila (Colombia). The research was guided under a qualitative approach and content analysis method, also were used as data collection techniques questionnaire and participant observation. The findings regarding the application of this showed a recognition of some historical-epistemological reference by students and learning conceptual contents on biological diversity and abundance, plant morphology, taxonomy and classification of plants, in turn the acquisition of skills related to the treatment of biological material and fieldwork.
