As Imagens Gráficas no Telejornal e as Tensões entre Repetição e Renovação das Narrativas

Abstract

This article reflects on the growing presence of “graphic images” on the TV´s evening news, considering their implications for the formation of the regime of visibility of these programs and, by extension, of television itself. If the images captured by the camera lenses are made, at least formally, in the arena of events, graphic images are clearly strategic resources developed for the needs of television news stories, deepening some features already grasped by the concept of neotv. In the analysis on the presence of these graphic images, it is considered especially the relationships they establish with the viewer, particularly as seen in TV Globo´s Jornal Nacional
